Dear SAAF Fund Members
There has been a tendency that certain members on holiday when leaving the holiday accommodation leaves the facilities in a very poor state. The Fund when making the accommodation reservation for the member ensures that the member understands the conditions for the utilization of the Fund holiday facilities. It is pointed out that members on holiday must leave the accommodation in the condition that they would like to receive it. In some cases it takes the Caretaker 8 to 10 hours to clean a flat that was left in a poor condition.
Cleaning costs have escalated and the Fund caretakers have indicated that they are going to charge an additional fee for flats that are left in an unacceptable state. The Fund will then recover this fee from the member.
The Fund endeavors to keep holiday accommodation rates affordable but needs the members to play their part in assisting to keep our flats in great shape.
